CHISOM AKAHARA | 1ST DAN |

Chisom began her Karate journey at The Regent Secondary School under Sensei Akinola, who has seen her through in the art since then. In her time at the school, she won several medals during the annual Regent School Karate Competition in Kata (Forms) and Kumite (Sparring). The Regent School Karate Competition is one of the biggest competitions for the Under 12, Under 14 Cadet and Junior Categories in Abuja.


Chisom is a first-degree black belt (shodan). She enjoys the benefits Karate has to offer especially the self-defence aspect for women and its health benefits.


Chisom enjoys many sports, particularly badminton, and of course, Karate. In her free time, she likes to play the piano, draw, paint and garden.


Chisom is an advocate for environmental issues and has been involved in many projects to preserve our environment.


Chisom currently studies architecture at Baze University, Abuja.
