ALIYU TURAKI | 3RD DAN | NATIONAL CHAMPION

Turaki K Aliyu is a 3rd Degree Black graded by the Karate Union of Great Britain. He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with a first degree in Metallurgical and Material Engineering. He is 9 times National Champion in Kata in both the National Sports Festival (N.S.F) and other National Championships organized by the Nigerian Karate Federation (N.K.F). In the build up to the All African Games (Algeria) in 2007, he competed in the first National Kata Championship and won a Silver Medal in 2006 in Surulere National Stadium Lagos. He has won numerous medals at Zone, state and club championships and has distinguished himself during his competitive days in Sports karate.


He has attended several Workshops in the North and South of Nigeria to improve his karate skills and has also organized different workshops and training sessions in the North to improve the standard of Karate. Worthy of note is the first non-graded Referee course he organized in Kaduna under Zone six National Sports Commission comprising of the seven states in the zone which was a huge success.


He has trained over two hundred and fifty kids in the art of karate building discipline, self-respect and power of focus amongst many other advantages to make them better students academically, physically and mentally. He was a student instructor during his days at the university and has trained many adults (both male and female) and still does.


He is a karate enthusiast and will always remain so as he seeks to improve the standard of karate in his immediate society and country at large.
