ABOUT US

Karate Alliance is a Shotokan Karate Organisation with clubs in Lagos, Abuja and Kaduna. We are affiliated to the Nigerian Association of Shotokan Karate; Nigeria’s foremost Karate organisation headed by the legendary instructor, Sensei Alfred Ohimain 7th degree black belt.

The Chief Instructor of Karate Alliance is Sensei Olusegun Akinola a 7th degree black belt who was 8 times Nigerian National Champion and former Coach of the National Team. He is currently the highest graded World Referee in Nigeria. He is assisted by experienced Karate Instructors and individuals who have distinguished themselves in their various professions.

We are a family club and encourage parents to train alongside with their children. We also have a passion for training future champions and hope that we will one day produce an Olympic Champion.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our clubs.

Attendance and Progress

We hope you enjoy your karate experience and continue on to make progress and eventually take gradings. Our instructors have many years of experience teaching karate and are accomplished individuals in their chosen professions. Your progress, however, will depend on how regularly you attend your classes and how much effort you put into each lesson. No effort means no progress.

Registration

Please check out our dojo page to register with any of our clubs. New members would be expected to register before they start training. Arrive 10 or 15 minutes early for your classes. It is important that you register your attendance at each class in good time before the lesson starts. It is important for us to know who we have in the class and it is also an important record for you if you wish to eventually take gradings for the various coloured belts.

Please do not wear shoes or trainers in the training area unless there is a medical reason to do so, shoes must be removed before entering the training area (The Dojo). Please remove all jewelry and watches and keep these safely in your bag. We do not accept any liability for lost or stolen items. Do not enter the Dojo chewing gum or eating sweets.
